Iranian Tour Operators Visit Adjara

ADJARA, Georgia – The Department of tourism of Adjara, Georgia’s southwestern region at the coast of the Black Sea, is hosting Iranian tour operators for the next three days.

General Managers of Iran’s 11 major tourist agencies have arrived in Adjara today to get acquainted with the touristic potential of the region.

Today, they met with Georgian colleagues and discussed the prospect of mutual cooperation. The guests also listened to a presentation about regional tourism potential and products.

Iranian tour operators will get acquainted with the infrastructure of Batumi hotels. They will also visit the region's t sights and mountains.

This year Iran is the target country of the Adjara Department of Tourism. Advertisements for Adjara will be launched in Iran from spring.

Last year around 24,695 Iranian tourists visited Adjara.

The Iranian tour operators' visit to Adjara was organized by Turkish Airlines.
