Georgia’s PM Meets with Gulf Cooperation Council General Secretary

Giorgi Kvirikashvili, Prime Minister of Georgia, met with Abdul Latif bin Rashid Al Zayani, the General Secretary of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCO), yesterday.

The signing of the memorandum of understanding between Georgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the GCO secretary has been noted as an important step towards the deepening of partnership and cooperation among Georgia and the GCO member countries.

The prospect of investment for the development of a transit corridor and the role of Georgia as a transit country was discussed during the meeting, stressing the positive dynamics Georgia and the Gulf Cooperation Council member states have in trade, economics, tourism, education, and culture.

Abdul Latif bin Rashid Al Zayani noted the interest of Arab states in Georgian tourism and investment.
