Georgian Airways to Launch Direct Flights to London Gatwick

Following on from the announcement that Hungary's Wizz Air is to fly direct from Kutaisi to London Luton from June, news very well-received by the expat community here in Georgia, is that from March, Georgian Airways is launching direct flights from Tbilisi to London Gatwick airport.

Flights will operate every Monday and Saturday.

The negotiations to receive flight slots to one of the UK’s biggest airports began in the summer of 2016 and, as Givi Davitashvili, General Director Georgian Airways, says, they expect customers to be interested in this itinerary.

"The company promises to offer comfortable travel from Tbilisi to London," Davitashvili said.

In addition, Georgian Airways plans to launch Tbilisi - Prague flights from May.
