National Discussion about Sustainable Urban Transport

On Tuesday, February 28, at Hotel Radisson Blu Iveria, Tbilisi, the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources Protection of Georgia, with assistance from the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and Global Environment Facility (GEF), hosted a discussion about sustainable urban transport.

The event opened a series of national discussions that mean to lead Georgia to developing a national concept of sustainable urban transport, including for the first national strategy and policy framework.

The discussion brought together Gigla Agulashvili, Minister of Environment and Natural Resources Protection of Georgia; Niels Scott, Head of UNDP in Georgia; and representatives of the Georgian government, Parliament, and local governance and international organizations.
