Government Town to Be Built in Tbilisi

TBILISI – A Government Town will be built in Tbilisi’s Ortachala district in the territory adjacent to the Tbilisi Business House, from which the Government will exercise its authority.

The unified government space, which will house practically all state ministries, will be arranged under the governance reform.

The information was released by Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili during Thursday’s government session.

"A vast territory has been allocated as a place to transfer our ministries. It will both free office space and room for hotels in the city center and additionally will encourage the construction sector. A large area will be developed to house practically every ministry, with only few exceptions, to ensure a new stage in providing services to legal entities and individuals. It is a very important project, and I welcome its launch," Giorgi Kvirikashvili said.
