The Times Urges Travelers to 'Book a Trip to Tbilisi'
Georgia is, undoubtedly, becoming more and more popular for tourists world-wide, with an increasing number of flights flying into our three international airports. Of late, EU visa-free liberalization has saturated most media outlets, and helped to put Georgia on the map.
Georgia Today covered London based The Guardians piece on Tbilisi becoming a new clubbers paradise for European tourists, with The Times also now having stated that Tbilisi is perfect for a city break.
"Mini-break in Tbilisi - Getting to Tbilisi has been a bit of a faff for the past four years, with no direct flights. That's set to change on May 15, when Georgian Airways starts twice weekly flights from Gatwick to the former Soviet country's pretty capital..."
The article goes on to suggest a number of different travel agencies based in the UK who are offering deals on short breaks to Tbilisi, and also longer stays, taking in the regions of Kakheti, Gori and Vardzia, which will undoubtedly increase tourist numbers in the regions.
