Aviasta Gets Green Light to Fly Kazakhstan - Batumi
New flights are being introduced to carry more tourists from Kazakhstan’s main seaport on the Caspian Sea Aktau, to Georgia’s Black Sea resort city Batumi during the summer months.
The air company has received approval from the Georgian Civil Aviation Agency today to handle the mentioned charter air services.
Kazakhstan’s Aviasta airline will launch Astana-Batumi-Aktau seasonal charter flights from July 31, 2015 and fly on a regular basis.
The flights will be focused on the transportation of tourist groups from Kazakhstan to Batumi, Georgia’s coastal city, until September this year, twice a week.
According to the statistic of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Kazakhstan is among five top origin countries for visitors to Georgia. This year 9,421 visitors have so far crossed the border of the Georgia’s territory, which is more than 2 000 compared to last year’s statistics.
