Road Accident in West Georgia Leaves 28 Injured
28 passengers were injured due to an accident that took place on Adjara-Guria highway on Tuesday night.
Two minibuses going in opposite directions, one from Tbilisi to Batumi and the other from Batumi to Tbilisi, crashed into each other.
As reported, all injured passengers have been taken to Kobuleti hospitals. The health condition of four people is very grave, and remain in the intensive care unit (ICU).
The Minister of Health and Social Affairs of Adjara Zaal Mikeladze arrived at the site.
“The majority of passengers have only minor injuries. Four people remain under intensive care, two of them have fractured limbs and two have facial bone fractures,” he stated.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia has launched an investigation under the first part of Article 276 of the Criminal Code of Georgia that implies a violation of the traffic safety or operation rules that caused damage to human health.
