From September 18 to 21, Georgia is participating in the largest International Fair for Investment and Trade in Xiamen, China, with honorary guest status.

Georgian Winery 'Khareba' is also participating in the event, enabling the company to establish closer business relations and enhance cooperation with the largest international companies.
“With the participation in the world’s largest fair for investment and trade, we tried to make the first, solid step towards integrating Georgian economy and Georgian businesses with the Chinese economy and Chinese companies. The free trade regime gives us the possibility to maximize the use of those benefits directly,” Giorgi Gakharia pointed out at the event, as he and the Fujian Province Vice Governor delivered their speeches at the opening.
As the Minister of Economy of Georgia stated, Georgia has an honorary guest status of the fair, with a special exhibition space provided and 120 Georgian companies being represented.
“Such exhibitions assist the process for our entrepreneurs to establish contacts and start advertising their produce rather fast,” He said, noting that Georgia has the largest stand at the fair, with the Georgian companies from agriculture all the way through to new technologies represented. As Gakharia noted, the bilateral economic relations will hopefully develop and enhance in within the fields of agriculture, transit, industry and services.
