Tbilisi Marathon 2017 Back On
Further to the information disclosed earlier this week that Tbilisi Marathon had been cancelled, it appears the event anticipated by many is back. As the Tbilisi Marathon’s Facebook page states, Tbilisi Marathon will be held as previously planned on October 22. However, instead of starting at 9 am, it will now start 8:30, and end at 11am instead of 14:00 as it was originally planned, the information from Tbilisi City Hall’s announcement reads; stating that the changing of the start and end time will help to prevent the streets of the capital from being paralyzed and will cause no discomfort to its citizens.
Following the decision, Tbilisi City Hall considered both the interests of the Marathon participants and of Tbilisi citizens, the statement notes, adding that Tbilisi municipality has been an active supporter of the event throughout the years, and wishes all the success to the participants and the guests who are coming to visit the city in the framework of the upcoming event.
