Berlin Wall Fragment to be Placed on Europe Square, Tbilisi

A fragment of the Berlin Wall is to be placed on Europe Square in Tbilisi today.

Set to take place at 6pm tonight, and as a mark of Georgian –German relations, the piece of wall was given as a gift to Giorgi Kvirikashvili, Prime Minister of Georgia, during his official visit to Germany in June 2017.

As the Georgian Public Broadcaster reports, the official ceremony will be attended by The Prime Minister of Georgia, Ambassador of Germany to Georgia, Heike Peitsch, and Georgia’s ambassador to Germany Lado Chanturia, alongside Georgian government officials.
