Pope Sends Best Regards to Georgian Catholicos-Patriarch

An international conference was held on November 13-14 at Rome's Eastern University, which was dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the restoration of autocephaly of the Georgian Orthodox Church.

The conference was organized by the Embassy of Georgia.

On November 14, the Pope welcomed the participants of the conference at the General Audience.

The Pope welcomed Archbishop Zenon of Dmanisi and Agarak-Tashiri, Great Britain and Ireland, and asked him to give his best regards to the Georgian Catholicos-Patriarch Ilia II.

"Tell the Catholicos-Patriarch of Georgia that he is in my heart and will always be," 1tv.ge reports.

Archbishop Zenon also gave best regards of Ilia II to the pope.
