Isani Special Operation Underway, Gunfire Heard & Homes Evacuated

BREAKING: A special operation commenced at approximately 4am this morning, at Monk Gabriel street in the Isani district of Tbilisi, where according to locals, gunshots were heard during the night, Georgian media reports. The special operation is conducted by the Counter-Terrorism unit of the Georgian State Security Service, and as reported, the inhabitants of two apartment buildings are being evacuated, and public school N97 was closed. 

Reportedly, the special operation is to arrest two foreign citizens, who are said to have opened gun fire against the State Security Service team. Following information announced by GPB (Georgian Public Broadcaster) one member of the State Security Service’s special unit has been wounded, and Emergency services are mobilized on site. There’s heavy smoke and fire coming out of the apartment the suspects were located in.
