Isani Situation: Update

An apartment where the alleged terrorists are located is registered in the name of Meri Khangoshvili, from Omalo village, Pankisi gorge, and previously belonged to Tina Gaurgashvili, also from Omalo, who for several years now resides in Austria, and re-registered her apartment to Khangoshvili prior to leaving for Austria, Georgian Public Broadcaster reports. 

Another Georgian media source, imedinews says, Aslan Jabraelov, who’s been questioned in the police department, rented his apartment following a request of his brother in law, without knowing who the new inhabitants where. The apartment was rented out a month ago, 26 years old Jabrailov lives in Duisi and works at the Soccar gas station, imedinews reports. Jabrailov’s brother in law, Khangoshvili, according to his relatives, lives in Pankisi and couldn’t be reached from late evening yesterday, media sources note.  

The special operation is still ongoing in Isani; one member of the State Security Service’s special unit is wounded and was transported to Ingorokva hospital for surgery, and is now in the ICU department of the hospital.
