Prime Minister of Georgia Meets with EIB Vice President

Giorgi Kvirikashvili, Prime Minister of Georgia, met with Vazil Hudak, Vice -President of the European Investment Bank (EIB), at the Government administration office yesterday. 

The PM thanked the EIB Vice-President for his participation at the Tbilisi Belt and Road Forum, as the parties discussed cooperation between Georgia and European Investment Bank, and talked about the ongoing and future projects within the spatial reform plan. 

EIB Vice-President Vazil Hudak noted that it is symbolic that the Belt and Road Forum was held in Georgia, a country which connects East and West, and which is currently undergoing modernization and transformation, the Prime Minister’s press office reports. 

The importance of the support from the European Investment Bank in developing road infrastructure and municipal transport was also underlined at the meeting, together with EIB’s active cooperation with both the public and private sectors in Georgia. 

Prime Minister Kvirikashvili thanked Vazil Hudak for the financial support of the projects that have proven crucial to the country’s development, and expressed his hope that the collaboration will continue to be active in the future.
