Explosion in Batumi injures 6

An explosion has been reported on Akhvlediani Street, Batumi. Six people have been injured, including two children. All victims have been hospitalized and their condition has been described as stable.

Local government representatives arrived at the scene, as well as Mayor Lasha Komakhidze. The Mayor said that they will assess the damage and provide temporary housing for those affected.

A full investigation has been launched into the incident, but according to preliminary sources the cause was a natural gas explosion.
