Queen Elizabeth Congratulates Georgian Patriarch On Election Anniversary

Her Majesty the Queen Elizabeth has sent a message of congratulations to His Holiness Ilia II, Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, congratulating him 40th anniversary of election on his post.

“I have pleasure in sending Your Holiness my warmest congratulations on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of your election as the Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia,” the letter reads

The Queen also recalls the visit of Ilia II to London in 2011.

"I am delighted that the close relationship between our peoples continues to grow. I send you my best wishes for your good health and happiness,” the letter reads.
