No Casualties in Fire at Rooms Hotel
Just after midnight on the 25th of December 2017 the blaze broke out on the roof of Rooms Hotel in Tbilisi. Nobody was hurt and the damage was minimal - with only four bedrooms and the part of the roof affected - thanks to the joint effort of the hotel staff and firefighters.
Fire alarm system as well as smoke detector devices were immediately activated allowing prompt evacuation of the hotel guests and staff members. Adjara Group owned Hotel- Holiday Inn - hosted the evacuated guests for the night.
Dozens of fire engines rapidly localized and extinguished the fire. Today afternoon Rooms hotel resumed work and is operating as per usual, guests are returning back and the hotel is ready to host new arrivals.
The exact reason of the fire is yet to be determined by the investigation.
