Singer Saba Samushia Stabs Four in Tbilisi
Singer Saba Samushia stabbed four men during a fight which took place in the Tbilisi Aga restaurant, according to the General Prosecutor’s Office.
It was concluded that on January 18, Samushia and the men got into an argument in the restaurant, during which he stabbed one of them in their right leg. He was rushed to hospital and operated on. Another individual was stabbed in their left leg, and the other two were reported wounded. One of them is reported to be in critical condition.
“Samushia has been charged under Part 1, Article 117 (intentional infliction of grave bodily injuries), Part 3 Article 118 (intentional infliction of less grave bodily injuries) and Part 3 Article 239 (an act of hooliganism committed with a weapon) of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which provides for 4-7 years in prison,” said the Prosecutor’s Office.
The incident took place during a birthday party where the singer was hired to perform. After the conflict, he was arrested as he tried to flee.
Samushia has been sentenced to pre-trial detention by Tbilisi City Court. According to the Prosecutor’s Office, he has been convicted in the past for drug-related offences.
