One Injured in Kutaisi Bank Robbery

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, on January 22, a bank robbery took place in Kutaisi. The information provided by the body says that the incident transpired at a Bank of Georgia branch on Tabukashvili Street, and one Georgian citizen, who was transferred to hospital, was wounded in the abdomen by an armed robber. 

The Ministry of Internal Affairs made a statement, saying "the committed crime is punished by a jail term from 5 to 7 years. According to the initial information of the investigation, on January 22, the Bank of Georgia, located on Tabukashvili Street in Kutaisi, was attacked by an armed person who wounded a citizen in the abdomen. The wounded young man was transferred to a medical facility. Intensive investigative actions are underway to detain and arrest the defendant.”
