Georgian Railway Publishes 2017 Figures
Increase of passenger comfort aboard JSC Georgian Railway was always a priority direction. Together with the growth of Georgia's tourism potential, our company endeavored to provide passengers with comfortable seats, increase their quality of services and passenger rights. Since 2015, many changes have been made in order to make this a realization.

A number of positive changes were made to passenger service, for instance, 4 modern, two-story, comfortable electric trains were purchased from the Swiss company Stadaler. They soon became very popular, and were in demand not only during the summer season, but throughout the year. It is worth noting that these trains fully meet the standards set for the use of less able-bodied persons. Georgian Railway made sure that each new train or any new infrastructural project for passenger use, also met the above standards. A mobile app has been introduced for passenger tickets. Also, seat selection was initiated, as per passenger requirements. Georgian Railway passengers have obtained the ISO 9001: 2015 Quality Management Certificate. All of the above had a positive effect on passenger satisfaction.
Particular attention is paid to the protection of passengers' rights. To this end, JSC Georgian Railway take on a number of rules of realization of the basic rights and obligations of passengers, as per the Regulation No. 1371/2007 of the European Parliament Council in October 2007, which refers to the limited access to passengers with restricted capacity and passengers with limited movement.
