Varketili Metro Station Resumes Normal Service

Varketili Metro Station resumed normal service this morning, as work for clearing the area continued throughout last night. The remaining part of the ceiling has now been dismantled, in order to avoid potential danger for passengers.

Part of the ceiling at Varketili metro station tunnel collapsed yesterday morning, injuring 14 people.

The investigation of the cause is ongoing under article 240, which entails breaching of the safety norms of construction works
