Georgian Mountains in the lens of Foreign Photographers

A couple, Rafal and Aleksandra, have been travelling by bike to almost inaccessible locations to take pictures of landscapes, cultural traditions and different ways of life.

Last time they visited Georgia the pair described it as a remote, unknown and visually amazing country.

In June the couple visited Georgia’s mountainous Svaneti region. They started in Jvari, located near Tbilisi, and their goal was to reach Ushguli, located at the foot of Shkhara, the highest inhabited village in Europe.

Writing on their Instagram the pair said “Then we crossed Zagari Pass with maximum elevation of 2,616 m. The area is snow-covered for 6 months of the year and quite often the road is impassable. The journey brought us a lot of adventures. It’s pretty exciting meeting random local people, speaking different languages or mimicking for communication.”

Website Boredpanda has published a tremendous photo collage, taken by Rafal and Aleksandra, which currently has more than 3000 views on the site. The best landscape photographers come to Georgia to enjoy the excellent landscapes of the Georgian mountains.
