Kutaisi to Have New Military Hospital

Georgia’s western city of Kutaisi will soon have a new military hospital. The old building where the hospital is planned to be has already been demolished, and construction works for the new one are underway.

Georgia’s Defense Ministry reports that the hospital is of strategic importance for the Western Command of Georgia’s Armed Forces.

“The medical center will serve military servicemen of Georgia's Armed Forces, civilians employed in Georgian defense system, their family members and military pensioners,” the Ministry said.

Deputy Defense Minister Zaal Kapanadze visited the construction site of the new military hospital.

From Kutaisi, the Deputy Defense Minister went to Gori where he visited the military hospital renovation works.
