Georgia, Turkey, Azerbaijan Sign Memorandum in Defense Cooperation
Within the frames of the 6th Defense Ministerial held in Giresun, Turkey on April 1, the Defense Ministers of Georgia, Levan Izoria, his Azerbaijani counterpart, Zakir Hasanov and Turkish Minister Nurettin Canikli signed a Trilateral Memorandum in Defense Cooperation.
At the joint press conference, the three summarized the results of the Trilateral Ministerial and discussed the projects planned within the framework of the Defense Cooperation Memorandum. According to Izoria, cooperation between the three countries is exemplary in the region.
“I'm glad we have signed a Memorandum which envisages more extended formats of cooperation and adequately reflects the dynamics of recent years, providing the best ground for future development," Georgian Minister stated.
Izoria started his visit in Ankara, where he met with Turkish counterpart Nurettin Canikli face-to-face.
After the meeting, Georgian minister and his delegation left for Giresun to attend the trilateral ministerial.
