Azerbaijani President Visits Georgian Stand at Baku Tourism Exhibition
The National Tourism Administration (GNTA) of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development has participated in the annual Azerbaijan International Travel and Tourism Fair (AITF) 2018 in Baku, where the President of the country, Ilham Alyiev, visited the Georgian stand and got acquainted with Georgia’s tourism products.
Zurab Pololikashvili, Secretary General of United Nations World Tourism Organization, also attended the event.
The Head of the GNTA, Giorgi Chogovadze, introduced the President of Azerbaijan to Georgia’s tourism potential and products.
An important annual Fair, the AITF 2018 started on 5 April in Baku Expo Center and finished on April 7.
The 17th exhibition gathered representatives of national and regional tourism organizations, government structures and media on one platform that reflect the dynamics of incoming and outgoing tourism in the region.
The exhibition is the venue for important meetings, signing contracts and announcing new programs and destinations.
In total, AITF 2018 exhibition welcomed 277 companies and organizations from 20 countries worldwide.
