Passenger Traffic at Georgian Airports Up by 36%
In the first quarter of 2018, Georgian airports served a total of 839,612 passengers, 36% more compared to the same period of 2017, which saw 621,240 passengers.
In January-March 2018, Tbilisi International Airport served 724,024 passengers, 37% more compared to the number of passengers transferred in the same period last year (528,145).
Batumi airport saw over 36,762 passengers in 2018, 55% more compared to the same period of 2017 – 23,696.
Passenger traffic in Kutaisi International Airport has increased by 15%. The airport served 67,892 passengers in Q1 2017; while, this year the indicator reached 78,020 passengers.
The local destination airports in Mestia and Ambrolauri received 806 passengers in three months.
In January-March 2018, 50 flights were conducted in local airports of Georgia.
