Georgia’s Interior Minister Meets Business Association Members
The Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia, Vice-Premier Giorgi Gakharia had a meeting with the representatives of the Business Association of Georgia, and introduced them to already-implemented and planned reforms in the ministry.
Gakharia believes that the economic development of Georgia depends on security and order within the country.
“Security and order are the most necessary components for economic development: tourism, transit and energy are directly related to security issues,” he added.
Giorgi Chirakadze, the President of the Business Association of Georgia, stated after the meeting that they received important information from Gakharia about the safety situation in the country, in the economic field specifically.
“For the Business Association, this is the first meeting with the Interior Minister in the last nine years, and we received quite sincere and open answers from the Minister,” Chirakadze said, adding this meeting was of utmost importance for the businessmen.
“We, the businessmen, saw that our country has huge prospects of development. We live in a safe country and both businessmen and investors have opportunities to invest and develop their businesses,” the President of the Business Association of Georgia claimed.
The meeting between the Business Association and the Interior Minister was closed to media.
