Austrian Gebrüder Weiss to Invest Additional €2 mln in Georgia
Austrian transport and logistics company Gebrüder Weiss, is going to invest an additional €2 million to expand its terminal in Georgia.
The information was released by the Company's Board Wolfram Senger-Weiss at his meeting with Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili on April 19.
Senger-Weiss stated the company is happy about its investments in Georgia and welcomes the country's dynamics.
“The decision to open a logistics terminal in Georgia, which we took a couple of years ago, was right, and we are happy to be here," he told Kvirikashvili.
The PM's Press Office reports Gebrüder Weiss has invested €10 million in the development of its logistics terminal in Tbilisi, which is one of the largest in the South Caucasus.
The company's key areas of operation include land transport, air and sea cargo transport, and logistics.
With around 7,000 employees, 150 company-owned locations and a turnover of 1.55 billion Euros in 2017 (provisional), Gebrüder Weiss ranks among the leading transport and logistics companies in Europe.
