EU to Support Georgia’s Education Reform Plans

Head of the EU Delegation to Georgia, Carl Harcell, met yesterday with Georgia’s Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport Mikheil Batiashvili and Deputy Minister Irine Abuladze. Harcell pledged to be an active supporter of the Ministry during the process of reforming the education system

During the meeting, the participants discussed the planned reforms that Batiashvili has introduced. The Minister emphasized that developing the education system is the country's most important priority, and noted the importance of EU support and participation in the reforms.

Both sides agreed to develop formal agreements for future cooperation.
