Russian Citizens against Banning Flights to Georgia

Russian citizens have started collecting signatures with regards to the recent decision of the Russian President Vladimir Putin to temporarily prohibit flights from Russia to Georgia. The authors of the petition address Putin:

“We request that flights between Georgia and Russia remain open, as Russian citizens are safe in Georgia. Holding protests is the right of Georgian citizens. Let’s give the people an opportunity to maintain friendly relations and let them make the decision as to which country to travel to,” reads the petition.  

The document has been signed by 4,534 individuals so far.
