MIA Arrests 3 for Drug Crime
The employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia have seized various narcotics in large quantities from three persons in recent days. All three persons have been arrested for drugs crime.
According to the MIA, police detained L.G. (born in 2000) near the Vale border checkpoint. Two packages of narcotic drugs containing 720 grams of heroin were seized.
Police also detained a citizen of Iran, M.A. at the Sarpi border checkpoint and seized 200 grams of heroin.
Another citizen, I.M. (born in 1991), was arrested at Kutaisi International Airport. 101 pills containing cocaine and buprenorphine were seized from him. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, I.M. resisted police and attacked a police officer.
Investigations into the mentioned facts have been launched under Articles 260, 261, 262, 263 and 353 (I) of the Criminal Code of Georgia, involving the illegal purchase, storing and import of narcotic drugs of large quantities and psychotropic substances.
