Judicial Candidates Being Interviewed

Interviewing of judicial candidates for posts at the Supreme Court of Georgia has resumed at the High Council of Justice.

Two candidates of judges Paata Shavadze and Moris Shalikashvili are being heard today.

The process of interviewing the candidates started at 10:00 am.

The process of interviewing the Supreme Court judicial candidates started on July 17.  The High Council of Justice has interviewed 32 out of 50 candidates, who have been chosen from 137 applicants. At the next stage, 20 candidates will be selected through secret ballot and the list will be transferred to Parliament for further discussion.
