Forest Fire Localized in Ateni

A fire that broke out yesterday in woodland in Ateni, Razmati Gorge, in the Shida Kartli region of Georgia, has now been localized byf irefighters and rescuers of the Emergency Management Service (EMS) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia.

Two helicopters of the Border of Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as well as the fire and rescue brigades,  were involved in the firefighting operation and firefighting operations were actively carried out during the night. 

According to the EMS, heavy smoke and fire were observed in an area of 3 hectares.

At this time, there is no danger of reignition of the fire.
