Tourism Potential of Ajara Showcased at International French Travel Market

The tourism potential of Georgia’s seaside Ajara region were showcased at an international travel exhibition held in Paris. The travel opportunities of the region were promoted at one of the largest business tourism exhibitions in the world by the Ajara Tourism Department and representatives of the National Tourism Administration and travel companies.

Visitors to the Georgian stand could taste famous Georgian wine and traditional candy churchkhela and get detailed information about traveling to Ajara and Georgia in general. The exhibition was attended by Tinatin Zoidze, Head of the Tourism Department of Ajara, who held business meetings with representatives of international media platforms, travel agencies and advertising companies within the scope of the exhibition.

“Participation in the International French Travel Market is important for promoting our country and our region," she said. "The key players of the tourism industry from all over the world are represented here, which is a great opportunity for establishing business relationships and building partnerships. We have held business meetings with representatives of international media platforms, online travel portals and advertising agencies, including Tripadvisor - the world's largest portal in terms of determining travel trends and recommendations, and we are actively planning cooperation with them."

IFTM - the International French Travel Market is one of the largest business tourism exhibitions in the world, with 522 travel companies and organizations throughout the world participating in it. It hosts an average of 23,000 visitors annually.

This year, the Ajara Tourism Department has introduced tourism opportunities in the region at more than 20 international travel exhibitions, including in Berlin, Frankfurt, Tel Aviv, Tallinn, Vilnius, and Kyiv.
