New Demands from the Activists of 'Let's Reclaim Our Country'
The protest titled ‘Let’s Reclaim Our Country’ is ongoing in front of the building of the Georgian Parliament in Tbilisi. Their new demands have just been presented.
The activists demand the Government resign and snap proportional elections to be held. They have a German electoral model in mind, in particular. They have reported that it will take 3 weeks and 76 votes, instead of 113, to adopt. The activists believe that the elections need to be held by a temporary Government, which means that the Georgian Dream government has to resign first so that their demands are satisfied.
“We are not going home until our demands are met. We urge every political person to join in on our demands,” have announced the movement #ShameOnYou.
