6 Confirmed Cases of Coronavirus in Armenia
Armenia has confirmed three new cases of coronavirus, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan wrote on his Facebook page on March 11.
Two of the infected are citizens of Armenia aged 45 and 27, and one is a citizen of Italy, who is 51 years old and works in Armenia. All three arrived from Italy.
The patients were registered as soon as they arrived.
Reportedly, the citizen of Italy and one of the citizens of Armenia are not displaying symptoms, but the other citizen of Armenia has pneumonia.
Pashinyan, who was in the South of Armenia campaigning for the constitutional referendum planned for April 5, suspended his vacation and campaign and said he is heading back to work tomorrow to monitor the situation and the preventive measures.
Schools, kindergartens and universities are closed throughout the country.
The total number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Armenia is 6. More than 50 people have been isolated today, with 30 more isolated on March 1st after the first confirmed case of COVID-19.
