5 Charter Flights to be Carried out for Georgian Citizens Abroad

Georgian Foreign Minister David Zalkaliani informed the public about the schedule of special flights appointed to bring Georgian citizens back from a number of European cities.

He noted that tickets for them will be available and the relevant information will be released a few days before the flights.

FM added that up to 300 Georgian citizens returned home on flights carried out on March 23 and 24. 

“Two flights have already been carried out: on March 23 the Tbilisi-Berlin-Batumi route, and on March 24 the Athens-Tbilisi-Athens, making it possible for up to 300 Georgian citizens to return to their home country. 

The schedule for the next flights is as follows:

March 26: Tbilisi-Vienna-Tbilisi;

March 31: Tbilisi-Amsterdam-Tbilisi,

April 3: Tbilisi-Warsaw-Tbilisi;

April 7: Tbilisi-Athens-Tbilisi;

April 10: Larnaca-Tbilisi.

"In order to effectively manage the flow of passengers and respond to the needs of citizens, tickets will be available on each flight specified in the schedule above and the relevant information will be reported a few days before each flight,” Zalkaliani said.

As for flights canceled in Vienna and Amsterdam, he noted that they will be carried out on March 26 and 31.

FM emphasized that all passengers arriving in Georgia will undergo 14-day mandatory quarantine.

Georgian Airways CEO Roman Bokeria says that tickets for charter flights on the Vienna-Tbilisi and Amsterdam-Tbilisi routes, including business class, will cost 199.
