Tightened Quarantine Imposed in Khashuri Municipality Village
The Georgian government has decided to declare tightened quarantine in Khidiskuri village, Khashuri municipality, where a second case of coronavirus was reported today.
The above decision was made at today's session of the Interagency Coordination Council working on COVID-19-related issues.
In addition to the restrictions imposed within the framework of the state of emergency, entry and exit to the village is prohibited.
Police officers are controlling the village entrances.
Local residents will be able to go out only when they need to buy products or medicine or receive medical care. They will have the right to carry out agricultural works if they adhere to the protocol specifically designed for such cases.
The second case of coronavirus was confirmed in Khidiskuri, following a young woman being tested positive for the virus yesterday.
Reportedly, the new patient had been in contact with the infected woman.
The total number of cases of coronavirus infection in Georgia stands at 266.
There are currently 4872 people quarantined and 453 under examination in hospitals.
To date, Georgia has 67 recoveries from the virus and 3 COVID-19-related deaths.
