PM's Advisor: Resumption of Public Transport not Considered Yet
"The resumption of circulation of public transport has not yet considered due to the pandemic. We have to discuss and make decisions together with epidemiologists,” the Georgian PM’s spokesperson, Irakli Chikovani, announced today.
He noted that the operation of public transport will not be resumed from tomorrow, despite the end of the state of emergency.
"We should not think of this as a restriction, but as a way to help to ensure that we do not have a second outbreak of the epidemic in the country," Chikovani noted.
Health official Amiran Gamkrelidze, Head of the National Center for Disease Control and Public Health, said that the decision to resume public transport movement will be made soon.
