June 11: Georgia Reports Single New Coronavirus Case, 4 Recoveries

As of June 11, 1 new case of coronavirus has been confirmed in Georgia, bringing the total number to 828, stopcov.ge reports.

As for the recoveries, 4 more people have recovered from the virus, which brings the total number to 694. 

3230 people are under a 14-day mandatory quarantine while 285 are under observation in hospitals.

13 people have died of the virus in the country. 

Currently, there are 121 active cases in Georgia. 

In total, 6 new cases have been confirmed in the past 24 hours. 

Yesterday, Amiran Gamkrelidze, Director General of the Georgian National Center for Disease Control and Public Health announced that 5 New cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Georgia, with the initial source of infection not known. 

He said that the source of the infection is unknown in all five cases. Currently, the contacts of newly infected patients are being investigated.

"We haven't defeated the pandemic yet. Be careful, adhere to hygiene norms and wear face masks in public transport and enclosed areas," he warned.
