Restriction on Flights from Tbilisi to Munich, Paris, Riga to be Lifted from July 13
Restrictions on flights from Tbilisi to Munich, Paris and Riga will be lifted on July 13. The relevant resolution was adopted by the government on July 10.
However, the above doesn't mean that flights will resume immediately.
Flights will resume when consultations with the airlines are completed.
Changes were made to the Government's May 23 resolution "On the Approval of Isolation and Quarantine Rules."
From July 13, the restrictions will not apply to direct international flights carried out between Tbilisi Shota Rustaveli International Airport (ICAO code UGTB) and the following airports:
Munich (ICAO code EDDM);
Paris (ICAO code LFPG);
Riga (ICAO code EVRA).
Based on the decree, the decision on the number of flight frequencies will be made individually by the Civil Aviation Agency in agreement with the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development.
On July 8, the Georgian government has decided to open its borders with Germany, France, Latvia, Lietuva and Estonia.
At this stage, negotiations are underway with international airlines to resume regular flights to 5 EU countries.
