Coronavirus: of 196 New Cases, 144 Recorded in Batumi
Marina Ezugbaia, the Medical Director of the Tbilisi Infectious Diseases Hospital, told reporters that out of 196 new cases of coronavirus detected in Georgia on September 16, 144 are related to Batumi, the capital of the Adjara region, while 29 cases were reported in Tbilisi.
"Today, we have 196 new cases and 2758 confirmed cases so far. Based in the regions, 196 cases are distributed as follows: Batumi 144, Kobuleti 1, Tbilisi 29, Imereti, Kutaisi 7, Sachkhere 1, Shida Kartli, Gori 4, Kvemo-Kartli - Gardabani 3, Guria - Ozurgeti 4, Zemo Svaneti-Samegrelo-Zugdidi 2, Poti 1, Mtskheta 1 case," she explained.
196 new cases of coronavirus have been detected in Georgia in the last 24 hours and the number of infected people reached 2758.
The number of recoveries has increased by 31, reaching 1412.
Currently, there are 1327 active cases in the country.
