Coronavirus: Georgia Reports 24th Death, 227 New Cases
Coronavirus has claimed the life of a 24th patient in Georgia. The deceased 70 years old man was undergoing treatment in the Tbilisi Infectious Diseases Hospital and had serious concomitant diseases.
In the last 24 hours, 227 new cases of coronavirus have been detected in Georgia and the number of infected people reached 4140.
Of 227 new cases, 165 were detected in Adjara and 34 in Tbilisi.
"165 cases were detected in Adjara, 34 in Tbilisi, 4 in Rustavi, 14 in Imereti, 4 in Guria, 1 in Lanchkhuti, 3 in Ozurgeti, 1 in Dusheti and two in Zugdidi," said Marina Endeladze, representative of the Tbilisi Infectious Diseases Hospital.
The number of recoveries has increased by 69 to reach 1643.
Currently, there are 2473 active cases in Georgia.
