Public Transport to Open in Adjara on October 19

Public transport in Adjara, including intercity transport, which has been shut since September 25 due to the increasing number of COVID-19 cases, will reopen on October 19.

Yet in the Adjara region, restrictions still apply to the educational process, and to restaurants and entertainment facilities, which no longer operate after 22:00. Starting tomorrow, the same restriction on entertainment facilities will enter into force in Tbilisi and Imereti.

Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia spoke about the decision at a briefing after the government session. He noted that the spread of the virus in the Adjara region has almost stabilized.
