Only Practical-laboratory Works to be Resumed in University Auditoriums
Practical-laboratory works are to be resumed in higher education institutions starting today, October 19, while other components of the educational process will continue remotely.
"From October 19, universities in Tbilisi, Kutaisi, Zugdidi and Poti will resume only laboratory and practical classes, other components of the curriculum will be conducted remotely," stated the Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Nunu Mitskevich.
"A few months before the start of the school year, we started working with the Ministry of Health on safety recommendations. Accordingly, all mandatory recommendations are defined and strictly observed by the universities, this is to maintain a distance of one meter between desks, to use face masks in all auditoriums, to use sanitizers, disinfection barriers, thermal screening when entering the university space, etc.
"The Department of Labor Inspection of the Ministry of Health inspected all the universities at the beginning of the academic year, issued permits, and therefore we can say that all the spaces that will open to students from October 19 will be safe and the health of each of them will be protected," she noted.
