Head of Gov't Administration: Systemic Restrictions will Not be Imposed

The head of the government administration Natia Mezvrishvili stated that despite the increasing number of coronavirus cases in Georgia, systemic restrictions are not planned. 

"Despite the increase in coronavirus cases, we will not impose systemic restrictions, but continue the adaptation and management phase," she pointed out. 

Mezvrishvili stressed that it is important to follow the basic rules, such as wearing a face mask and observe social distancing.

"The government is trying to keep the balance, to protect the health and lives of citizens and at the same time, to do less damage to the economy," she noted.

The head of the government administration also spoke about the upcoming elections and noted that the elections will be held in accordance with all the rules set by epidemiologists.

Georgia has reported 1872 new coronavirus cases, 14 deaths and 603 recoveries today.
