Georgia Seals Narrow Victory Over Namibia
Georgia’s National Rugby team defeated the Namibia Rugby Union and qualified for the 2019 World Cup in Japan, as long as New Zealand beats Tonga on Saturday.
A pulsating second half finished with Georgia delivering a 17-16 win against Namibia at Sandy Park in Exeter, southwest England. At the beginning of the game, Namibia led after two penalties by Theuns Kotze.
However, Mamuka Gorgodze and Lasha Malaguradze scored two tries in the second half, helping seal victory.
With this victory, Georgians have completed their program.
Tonga, who are two points behind, finish their schedule against the world champions, New Zealand, in Newcastle on Friday.
This was the first time in the history, Georgia won two games in the World Cup.
