England Beats Georgia in Eight Nations Rugby Tournament
The Georgian national rugby team has lost to England in the Autumn Nations Cup.
The Georgian Rugby Federation wrote a post on Twitter: “FT at @Twickenhamsta with @EnglandRugby rugby comfortably winning @autumnnations round one match against #TheLelos 40-0. Unfortunately, we didn't score any points against a very strong position.”
The eight-team tournament is a novel competition created as a replacement for the Autumn Internationals that have been cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic; it is scheduled to take place over four weekends between November 13th and December 6th, 2020.
The eight-team competition involves the Six Nations as well as the rugby unions of Georgia and Fiji. The tournament has been arranged by Six Nations Rugby, in cooperation with its constituent unions and federations.
Georgia is looking forward to its next game with Wales on November 21.
