Judoka Tato Grigalashvili in World Masters Finals
Tato Grigalashvili, a member of the Georgian judo team, is one step away from the World Masters gold medal. The reigning European champion in the 81kg weight category participated in five matches in the morning program at the ongoing Super Tournament in Doha, and won all five. In the final battle scheduled for this evening, Grigalashvili will face Frank de Wit from the Netherlands.
21-year-old Tato Grigalashvili has recently become "the best young judoka in the world of the past year," according to a poll conducted by the International Judo Federation.
Today, Lasha Shavdatuashvili (73 kg) and Luka Maisuradze (81 kg) from the Georgian national team entered the competition at the World Masters as well, but were excluded from the competition from the initial stage.
